…that last week was 4-H appreciation week. The members treated the faculty to a wonderful brunch. They also created a display for the school entrance.

…that we are collecting items for Hope for Animals. They will be presented to representatives from that organization at our Patriots meeting of October 29^th.

1. Father Robert from the Holy Childhood Association is the celebrant for tomorrow’s Mass.

2. The mission walk-a-thon is scheduled for this Sunday the 18^th at the E.D. White track. Students may walk between the hours of 1 PM and 3 PM.

3. "Rainbows" begins on Monday of next week. This is a peer support group for children who are undergoing any significant loss such as death, divorce, or separation.

4. Faculty members will lead a decade-a-day next week. Children should bring their rosaries to school.

5. Report cards go home on Monday, October 19^th.

6. The New Orleans Saints will have a representative, along with parent volunteers helping with the "Saints Experience," an inflatable bounce house and slide for the Halloween Bazaar. In order for your child to participate, a parent or guardian must sign a release of liability form and a permission slip. These will be sent home on Monday, October 19^th and must be returned no later than Monday October 26^th in order for children to participate. The bazaar is October 28^th from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Volunteers who work directly with the students must be safe environment certified.

7. Next Tuesday is the St. Genevieve Parish living rosary at 7 PM.

8. Picture retakes are Tuesday, October 20^th. Payment for pictures must be sent in the morning if your child did not take pictures in September.

9. The seventh grade banquet is next Wednesday at 7 PM. Our guest speakers are two former students who are now outstanding seniors at E.D. White, Anna Bernard and Sean Zeringue.

10. Outlines and reports are due on Thursday for sixth graders only.

11. E.D. White is sponsoring an Open House for prospective students and their parents on October 22^nd at 6:30 PM. Our seventh graders will receive an invitation in the mail. If you know of anyone interested in learning more about E.D. White, please forward their name and address to Mrs. Michelle Chiasson at 446-8486, ext. 103 or at michiasson@htdiocese.org so that they may be sent an invitation.
