DID YOU KNOW…

…that we are so thankful for all of you. Your support throughout the year is greatly appreciated by our faculty and staff.

…that two of our sixth graders wrote winning essays for the local level competition of the V.F.W.’s Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest.  Benjamin Sposito was awarded second place, and Courtney Sylvest was awarded third place.  Both entries will be sent on to the district level competition.  Benjamin and Courtney (and their families) will also be honored at a banquet in January.  Congratulations to these two outstanding students.

…that Father Dean spoke at the November Patriots meeting about the upcoming mission trip to Mexico. We will collect certain items for the trip during the month of December. More information will be given in the next newsletter.

MAKE SPECIAL NOTE:

  1. The first phase of the playground project involves removing the equipment. If anyone knows of a way to recycle or reuse the present playground equipment, please let us know.

  2. Our first wreath lighting is the Monday of our return. Parents are welcome to attend but we ask that you keep the silence that the children observe in their coming and going, and for the prayer service.

  3. Volunteers are needed to help clean the church. Please report to church at 2 PM tomorrow if you are able to help.

  4. The Home and School scrapbooking committee is looking for pictures from this school year. If you wish to donate pictures please send them to school to the attention of Melissa Dupre c/o Natalie Dupre 1B. The committee would also gladly accept the donation of any scrapbooking supplies.

  5. The library has purchased Webpath Express, a new application available through Destiny.  Destiny is the automation program we use in our library.  Webpath Express allows students to search for information using proven websites.  To access Webpath Express:

  6. The fourth grade class is sponsoring a multi-family yard sale to benefit the Lyons family. Lucy Lyons would have been in this class had she not had to move with her family to North Carolina so that the baby of the family, Adeline Rose could receive treatment. They will return next year. The sale is Friday, November 20th from 12 PM to 5 PM and on Saturday, November 21st from 7 AM to 12 PM at 1312 Lee Drive in Thibodaux. The prices are great, with much to choose from!
