DID YOU KNOW …
…that thousands viewed the relic of Saint Mary Magdalene last night. Our students had the privilege of processing in behind the reliquary. Forty-eight percent of our student population attended this event. What a testament to our parents and their commitment to our faith. We fully understand that many more children would have been here had it not been for prior commitments. We know that they were there in spirit! You were all remembered in prayer.
…that Ali Rivere (7B), a member of the Thibodaux United Girl’s U12 soccer team, competed and won the championship at the 15th Annual Midnight Madness Halloween Invitational Tournament in Mandeville, LA. Congratulations Ali!
…that our school will receive a check for $1,159.40 from Box Tops for Education from General Mills. We are extremely grateful for your help in clipping and sending in these coupons, and to Mrs. Celeste Molaison who coordinates this project for our school.
…that we are so grateful to everyone who helped make the Book Fair a huge success! We sold over $11,000.00 in merchandise at the fair. Over $300 in gift certificates for the classrooms were sold. Several teachers received books on their wish lists. The library pulled 5% in books from the fair and will receive 25% in cash. There are still a few books on order from the fair. Hopefully these will be in by next week. Thanks again for all of your help and support.
MAKE SPECIAL NOTE:
Next week is Children’s Book Week. Please note the following changes. Book Character Fun Dress Day has been moved from Monday, November 9th to Tuesday, November 10th. Sidewalk Art is Wednesday rather than Tuesday.
The morning car line is routed through the church parking lot. Cars should not enter this line at the corner of Parish Road and Barbier Avenue.
If you have dumbbells, ankle and wrist weights, or tennis racquets that you are no longer using, we would appreciate their donation to our P.E. department.
We look forward to seeing you at two important events this Saturday. The first is the annual clean up day at school beginning at 7 AM in the morning. Later that evening we hope that you can join us for the Taste of Thibodaux.
We are hoping once again for your support of the Domino’s Pizza nights of next week. Please remember to order early to avoid the rush.
Students in grades kindergarten through sixth will be attending the play at Thibodaux High. The letter that went home with the permission form stated that first through seventh were attending.
