DID YOU KNOW…
...that we are looking forward to our first Grandparents’ Mass tomorrow. Student commission members will greet visitors in the school foyer and in church to help grandparents locate their grandchildren.
…that you may view photographs of school activities on our website. They are posted under "photo gallery."
...that we will celebrate Constitution Week next week beginning with a flag raising on Monday. Thursday we’ll have a red, white, and blue fun dress day and treat sale. Also on Thursday, Mayor Charles Caillouet will speak to the student body, followed by a singing assembly.
…that the Rite of Passage for KA and KB is next Tuesday. This short ceremony is patterned on the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple. Our school and church (represented by clergy and administration) receive each kindergarten child accompanied by parents and their big buddy. Through this symbolic gesture, church and school indicate that their efforts are joined to that of the parents in partnership in the spiritual formation of that child as a Catholic.
…that the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux Conference Office is sponsoring a family concert at the Thibodaux Civic Center at 2 PM on Sunday, October 18th. The concert features the Cat.Chat Man, Moses the Cat, and other special guests, and is filled with lots of music, crowd participation, prizes, prayer times, and wholesome family fun. A poster with more information is posted in the school foyer. Advance tickets are $5.00 per person or $12.00 for a family. They may be purchased through school by placing payment in an envelope marked Cat.Chat. We will send the tickets to you. Checks should be made out to the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.
MAKE SPECIAL NOTE:
We will take school pictures next Tuesday. Envelopes went home today. These envelopes must be returned with payment on picture day in order for your child to receive pictures.
The blue handbook sign-off form is due tomorrow. We must have this form from every family.
